Information and Resources
Each Animal Care and Use Program Unit (ACUP unit) should
follow the Campus wide EOP and the local site EOP (such as
the Sedgwick Ranch Reserve EOP). Further, each unit should
develop a component, which addresses the animal care issues
that might occur with an emergency. Minimal consideration
should include actions to be taken when any aspect of the
physical environment cannot be maintained. This would include
considerations for alternate water, power, and housing. Preparedness
should include the ability to maintain animals for a minimum
of 3 days without outside support.
