PERSONAL STATEMENT

My professional background includes:
• progressive knowledge of digital information resources, web development and network systems administration
• experience in database development
• computer training

I possess strong background experience in:
• supervising, organizing and implementing various projects simultaneously
• corporate finance
• business consulting

I also possess good interpersonal skills, strong multicultural awareness and language skills. I have experience working with faculty and staff in academic environments providing reference services and technical supports on issues related to online publication and computer technology.

BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Jorge Coelho is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master in Business Administration and a Master in Library and Information Science. While at Illinois, Jorge worked as a Graduate Counselor with the Office of Minority Student Affairs, computer trainer with Prairinet Networking Initiatives and as a webmaster with the University Library Systems Office. Upon graduation, he became full-time Technology Coordinator for the East Saint Louis Action Research Project, University of Illinois, where he was in charge of overseeing and carrying out digital technology initiatives in the city of East St. Louis as well working closely with the African-American community there. In addition, Jorge is also a former Fulbright fellow and has lived, studied and worked in various parts of the world making him fluent in six languages.
