Center for Black Studies Research Introduces New Website
After several months of programming and usability testing, the Center for Black Studies Research is pleased to introduce its new website. The new site is designed to be accessible to users with screen readers or other assistive technologies. Over the coming months, the Center will be phasing out the previous version of the site and developing additional components of the new design. Planned additions include a search feature and online ordering. We welcome your input and thank you for your patience during the transition.

Professor Sylvester Ogbechie to serve as Acting Director in Winter 2008
Professor Sylvester Ogbechie, Associate Professor in the History of Art & Architecture department, will be joining the Center as Acting Director while Prof. Claudine Michel is on sabbatical.
In addition to his teaching position at UCSB, Prof. Ogbechie is the President of Aachron Knowledge Systems and the Nollywood Foundation.
