Journal of Haitian Studies
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Journal of Haitian Studies (JOHS) is the
official publication of the Haitian Studies Association. It is the only refereed journal
dedicated solely to scholarship on Haiti and Haitis relations with the International
Community. The Journals editorial board consists of leading national and
international scholars specializing in a wide range of academic fields, including
political science, sociology, education, literature, and religion.
JOHS publishes articles in English, French, Haitian Kreyol, and
Spanish. Please send an abstract of 150 words (in at least two of these languages,
if possible) along with your paper. Papers should not exceed 25 pages of
double-spaced text, including endnotes. It is not necessary to submit papers in more
than one of the above languages. As papers are sent out for blind review, include
your name, address, and e-mail address on a separate cover sheet only.
Send three hard copies of your paper, along with a copy on disk
(either Mac 5.1 or higher, or PC Word for Windows) to the editor: Dr. Claudine Michel,

is May 1, 2001.
