 CALL FOR PAPERS

The Journal of Haitian Studies (JOHS) is the official publication of the Haitian Studies Association. It is the only refereed journal dedicated solely to scholarship on Haiti and Haiti’s relations with the International Community.  The Journal’s editorial board consists of leading national and international scholars specializing in a wide range of academic fields, including political science, sociology, education, literature, and religion.   
   
JOHS publishes articles in English, French, Haitian Kreyol, and Spanish.  Please send an abstract of 150 words (in at least two of these languages, if possible) along with your paper.  Papers should not exceed 25 pages of double-spaced text, including endnotes.  It is not necessary to submit papers in more than one of the above languages.  As papers are sent out for blind review, include your name, address, and e-mail address on a separate cover sheet only.

The deadline for the Spring 2001 issue is May 1, 2001.
The deadline for the Fall 2001 issue is September 1, 2001.
