ENLACE OBJECTIVES
ENLACE (Engaging Latino Communities for Education) is an initiative in higher education sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation aimed at strengthening the educational pipeline and increasing opportunities for Latino students to enter and complete college. WKKF's targeted niche is to promote academic success for Latino youth by supporting models by institutions and community engagement. There are a total of eighteen grantees of the ENLACE Phase I planning grants.
- Support partnerships that enhance community involvement and increase educational attainment for Latinos/as
- Adopt/Adapt existing educational models, or create new models, based on best practices in order to improve the academic performance and enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of Latino/a high school and college students
- Facilitate the "scale-up" of existing programs or creation of new programs through strategic planning, networking, leadership development, and policy efforts
- Change educational policy and practice through dialogue with key stakeholders
