Export Control

Research conducted by UCSB researchers is considered fundamental research, as long as there are no restrictions on publishing the research and the research results are ordinarily published and shared broadly within the scientific community.

International shipments must comply with export control laws. Shipments of some items to certain countries may require a license from the U.S. government.
